4:30 AM. Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, Belize. We are in the northern lagoon and explore the area. After a short ride, the boat's engine stops. Slowly, we reach the virgin shore. We are already recording. The term ''sanctuary'' is very appropriate. Rarely have I observed such diverse wildlife and sounds. We are still and hold our breath. The symphony begins pianissimo...and what surprises are in store for us! (2017)
